Admission is limited and on a competitive basis. Academic performance, as evidenced by transcripts, and scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test are important factors in admission decisions. A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher, scores of 400 or above on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE and a score of 4.0 or higher on the analytical writing section are generally considered minimum criteria. Other important components of the application package include strong letters of recommendation, a well-written personal statement, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and a positive campus visit or interview.
