Each year, up to 30 highly talented men and women join the Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences. Each class is diverse, with our current and past students representing nearly every U.S. state and over 30 countries. While our students possess a wide range of talents and interests, they are united by their shared commitment to the fields related to hearing and deafness.

You want your graduate education to be the best it can possibly be, and so do we. The faculty and staff are committed to helping students learn, grow, and become outstanding professionals. Students have the opportunity to learn from, interact with, and receive personal attention from distinguished faculty who have both education and experience in clinical audiology, deaf education, and speech and hearing sciences research. During the course of the program, you will have many opportunities to interact with practicing professionals, to observe in clinics, labs, and classrooms, and get hands-on experience in your field.

Accredited by Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), the Council on Education of the Deaf (CED), and the Accreditation Commission on Audiology Education (ACAE), the programs are highly-regarded and meet all professional standards for certification. Graduates of the programs posses the knowledge and skills needed for successful careers, as well as a strong foundation for lifelong learning in these dynamic professions.

Although the curriculum can be rigorous, students still find time to relax and have fun, often with classmates. "Study hard, play hard" is their unofficial motto, reflecting the intensity, drive and sense of exploration they share. Camaraderie is an overriding quality of the school, with fellow classmates providing a built-in source of personal support and friendship.
