Our graduate programs each admit one class each fall semester. Applications open annually on September 1.
Application Deadlines
All application materials must be received by the following dates:
- PhD program — January 1
- AuD program — February 1
- MSDE program — December 15 (early decision), February 1 (priority decision), or June 1 (rolling offers)
Application Requirements
Please review the following instructions carefully prior to beginning your application. Please monitor your application status carefully to ensure timely submission of all required materials. Your submitted application will be considered complete and placed under review once all required materials have been submitted.
Required application materials (all submitted online through application link above):
- Online application form
- Personal statement
- Resume or CV
- Brief asynchronous video interview (AuD and MSDE only)
- Uploaded unofficial transcripts from all college/university coursework
- Three letters of recommendation
- Non-refundable application fee of $25*
- International applicants, please see additional requirements below.
*Application fee waivers are available for all applicants to the MSDE program upon request.
Additional requirements for international students:
- An official evaluation of transcripts must be submitted for all international applicants directly to the program by a credentialing agency. Please see the FAQ page for more information. Note: An official transcript evaluation may also be required for domestic applicants who have completed a degree program or course of study at an international institution.
- If English is not your native language, you will need to take one of the following exams within two years of applying and submit official scores.*
- Duolingo: Minimum score of 130 (submit scores to Washington University in St. Louis Graduate Admissions)
- GATEWAY English: Minimum score of 500 (submit scores to Washington University in St. Louis Graduate Admissions)
- IELTS: Minimum score of 7.0 (submit scores to Washington University in St. Louis Graduate Programs)
- TOEFL IBT: Minimum score of 100 (submit scores to Washington University in St. Louis, School Code 6929)
